Xubuntu
Xubuntu is a stripped down version of Ubuntu, and designed for use on older hardware. It's minimum system requirements are much lower as it uses the XFCE desktop environment which takes up far fewer resources compared to GNOME in Ubuntu. Despite this it still has most of the functionality of the full Ubuntu OS, and is a popular choice for people wanting to upgrade their older computers.
